Kristoffer Eikrem and RMB Justize come from different places, Norway and the US, but on Searching they're clearly after the same thing. Four tracks that don't quite land in any one genre. Not quite jazz, not quite hip-hop, not quite R&B. Close to all three, but always just slightly somewhere else.

The grooves are crunchy and physical. Bass lines that bounce. Melodies that feel funky without trying too hard. Extended harmonies that keep things a little off-balance in a good way.

When the improvisations open up, the music shifts into something harder to name, following a thread toward a song that maybe hasn't existed before. Whether they find it is for you to decide.
