bodhisattva

"bodhisattva" is a five-track EP from Greek producer FlyingTengu, leaning into the dustier corners of boom bap. SP-404 loops sit wide in the mix, with drums hitting hard underneath and tape saturation softening the edges.
There's a quiet weight to it. Drawn from Buddhist philosophy, the EP moves between grit and stillness without forcing either. Heads will nod, but there's space to sit with it too.
A return to the lo-fi feel of 2016, made for late evenings and long walks.
