Snarez
Kostis Mougios, better known as Snarez, grew up between Athens, Amsterdam and Japan, three places that shaped how he hears the world. His mother's records filled the house with Stevie Wonder, Al Jarreau, Luther Vandross, Marcus Miller, UB40, Sting and many others.
From an early age, Kostis enjoyed taking in music from different genres. After school he was playing in metal bands, then unwinding at night with Biréli Lagrène, Pat Metheny, Cannibal Ox or Boards of Canada. That constant mix of styles left the lines between genres blurred, and that is exactly how he liked it.
Over time, that blend turned into his foundation. Kostis creates on his own terms, letting different influences filter through as they come. The focus is less on defining a style and more on letting the tracks find their own shape.
