Rino Sivathas
Rino Sivathas is a drummer and composer based in Oslo, Norway. With a forward-thinking and visionary style, he has made his mark through collaborations on some of the country’s most exciting projects, while steadily crafting a sound of his own - energetic, unpredictable, and full of life. Blending jazz, hip-hop, and electronic music, Rino creates immersive soundscapes where beats, synths, and improvisation collide. The result is a tight yet fluid musical universe; groovy, open, and welcoming - where rhythm and freedom coexist.
He got named the Jazz Talent of the Year at Molde International Jazzfestival in 2024, and has performed on festivals like Copenhagen Jazzfestival, Vill Vill Vest, Jazzfest and Molde Jazzfestival over the last years. Rino's debut album "Speak Volumes" was released in June 2026, featuring a band with some of the most exciting new voices on the Norwegian jazz scene: Karl Hjalmar Nyberg (saxophone & electronics), Kai von der Lippe (keys & synth), Andreas Svabø (bass) and Rino Sivathas (drums)
