stretching time

stretching time is Beautiful Disco and Bangminhyeok, a duo from South Korea. Five tracks, under ten minutes, and everything you hear was played rather than sampled: piano, guitar, Rhodes and bass over soft lofi drums.

The EP covers a fair bit of ground for something this short. "days of wine and rain" is slow and melancholic. "wave" is warm and cozy and happy to stay that way. "blooming" lands between them, jazzy and romantic, glad and sad at once. None of these tracks run much past two minutes, but none of them feel rushed either.
