EP · 6 tracks · 12 min

Déjà vu lives in that strange feeling of recognizing something you can't quite name. A melody that sounds like a memory. A chord that puts you somewhere specific, a room, a season, a version of yourself, before you even realize it's happening.

Lax22 has an ear like a sommelier. He doesn't just find samples, he finds the ones that carry something. A dusty Rhodes, a brushed snare, a horn line lifted from somewhere between 1967 and a dream, each piece chosen for what it leaves behind in the listener.

The selections on this tape feel less like production decisions and more like curation. The result is a beat tape that doesn't announce itself. It just feels familiar. Like you've been here before.
