Norwegian guitarist and composer Morten Georg Gismervik, from the island of Karmøy, is a strong believer in the idea of music as a storytelling device. The ability for instrumental music to explore not just moods, but the context of those moods and colors, is fundamental in Gismerviks work. Still at an early point of his career, Gismervik has already released three albums under his own name, and is also involved with other artists, such as pianist Harsha Jerome, violinist Tuva Halse and the progressive fusion band Kanakkas, mainly focusing on story driven instrumental music, with an improvisational touch.
Three years after his previous release – Dunes at Night – Gismervik is now ready with his next album, set to release October 16th 2026
