Malana
Malana is a producer and multi-instrumentalist crafting soulful hip hop rooted in warmth, groove, and feel. With his background as a guitarist, his sound sits at the intersection of live instrumentation and sample-based production, layering guitars, keys, and carefully selected samples into smooth, rhythm-led compositions.
Drawing inspiration from J Dilla, Nujabes, 9th Wonder, and Madlib, Malana taps into the spirit of hip hop’s golden era while shaping his sound through a contemporary approach. His beats are spacious and textured, with a sense of depth that feels both nostalgic and fresh.
Working from his bedroom studio, Malana creates music that’s calm, soulful, and expressive. Each track is built with intention, focusing on mood and vibe.
